I’m not going to lie to you- I LOVE peanut butter and jelly. I have been teased by friends because I’ll see that on the kid menu when we are out to lunch and commented on how good that sounds, usually followed by a chorus of “Andrea, you CAN’T order that…” I found the most delicious (and healthier) snack to kill this craving and offer a little comfort food. I use sprouted whole grain bread (I’m a big fan of Ezekial bread), or coconut paleo bread (always so soft and deliciously squishy). I toast it, cover it in creamy almond butter, top with fresh fruit like strawberries or nice tart blueberries, drizzle with a bit of honey, and voila. Craving killed, and I feel lighter and more energized than I do after eating a traditional PB & J.

Ingredients
- 1 piece of Ezekial Break, or coconut paleo bread
- ¼ C fresh fruit (blueberries or strawberries)
- ¼ C creamy almond butter
- 1 tbsp. Local honey
Instructions
- Toast the bread
- Cover in delicious almond butter
- Place fruit over the top
- Sprinkle with honey
- *Bonus- sprinkle the entire thing with a bit of cinnamon
